WEEKLY PROJECT DEVELOPMENT PLAN: MONDAY · Instructors get to know campers, ideas, projects. We talk about options, explore and brainstorm the concepts brought to table individually by each camper with instructor support. Instructors and campers work together to identify stories that would work well in a game, movie, digital art or music album. · Campers and instructors begin to brainstorm. Fill out storyboard/video game project planning worksheet. Identify all characters, props, backgrounds, sounds, and most importantly, the beginning, middle and end of student’s project timeline. The goal is to have a good working outline of student project by EOD Monday. TUESDAY · Begin game layout, movie stage set up, or portfolio of digital art. All props, backdrops, and characters completed by EOD. WEDNESDAY · Lovingly referred to as moving day. Time to get all portions of story filmed and underway. Main bulk of work needs to be done by EOD. This is a BUSY day of creating!! THURSDAY · Editing. Sound track creation. Final tweaks, and bug fixing. Bringing all elements of the week process into a final project. FRIDAY · Fun Fridays involve more outdoor play, lots of water balloons, silliness, and fixing any needs on individual projects. End of day on Friday culminates into a film festival/game playing party with all parents and siblings invited to attend. · Each camper takes home a CD complete with their project, as well as every other camper’s project! Campers can go home with movies or games created by their new friends!
